The Australia #WTChat 12th November Round Up

This weeks #WTChat was focused on the wonderful land of Australia, much like my blog, actually. That means that there was a whole bunch of great advice, cool stories and recommendations on offer for those intending to visit Australia, from those that have already been.

To save you the massive trawl and inevitable disappearance of everything tagged with #WTChat, here are some of the best bits:

Now I never said that ALL of the stuff happening on this weeks #WTChat was relevant advice, sometimes it’s just nice to learn bits about other people. You’ll probably notice a few common themes with the logic here.

Excusing the typo in the url (which should link to australia.com) then I’d be inclined to agree. If you have any remote interest in visiting this place, give them a follow and check out their website.

I can assure you that there are a huge % of travellers that have been to Australia and loved it. I want to go back (and I am, hah!) but I’m not the only one. Ask around, I bet you can ask pretty much anyone that has ever been and they’ll tell you to go. We all want to return, and you will too.

Enough of us reminiscing our time spent in Australia, I promised there’d be some actual advice here so lets get cracking. The second question:

You’ll get a lot of repeat answers here too. Sydney crops up a hell of a lot, and well, the Great Barrier Reef is called the Great Barrier Reef and not the Slightly Above Average Barrier Reef for a reason. Uluru or Ayers Rock is always a biggie too. Those aside, however;

Take it from me, the area around Cairns is ridiculously diverse, apart from having the reef in close proximity as well as the Daintree rainforest, you really have to get out and about to see everything that Queensland has to offer.

Well, as you can probably guess with my top 5 reasons to avoid travelling to Australia, a bit of scaremongering is always fun. I’m not the only one!

We had an influx of brilliant pictures from the land down under filtering through #WTChat but I’ll save those for the end. You might as well get to see the ingenious Australian signage all at once.

So it’s advice time? Hellz yeah!

So, you’ve picked up a few bespoke tips, hopefully. But Australia is a massive place and there are thousands of hidden gems that are widely kept secrets and without prior knowledge, you might never find them. So why don’t we also share some hidden gems with you too?

Having seen all of the various landscapes on offer in Australia, and having picked up some ideas on places you should visit, I’ll leave you with the final question from this weeks #WTChat. What is YOUR top activity in Australia? Drop a comment and let us all know, you wouldn’t want us to miss out, would you?
